The Ministry of Trade to launch an investigation on LDPE imports from Saudi Arabia
It was published on Official Gazette that The Ministry decided to launch an anti-dumping investigation on Saudi Arabia LDPE imports with reference to Petkim’s application. LDPE sales comprise Petkim’s 23% of its trading volume adjusted sales revenues and 18% of its adjusted sales volume. In 2019, reportedly, Turkey imported a total of 270k tons of LDPE vs. its Petkim’s sales volume of 330k tons. The market reaction would be slightly positive to news as it may lead to some expectations for protectionist measures in the domestic market while its operational impact is neutral at this stage.
