(=) Turk Traktor announced sales figures for May. The Company’s domestic sales only inched up in 5M17 and we do not see a major change in the sales momentum, supporting a flat progression in the market this year compared to 2016. On the other hand, export sales continue to fall amid weak demand in major export markets.
Turk Traktor sold 3,103 tractors in the local market in May, indicating a YoY growth of 3.4%. On a cumulative basis; the Company sold 15,297 tractors in 5M17, only 1% increase compared to a year ago. This is also in-line with our expectation of a flat progression in local tractor market in 2017.
The Company exported 928 tractors in May, implying a 13% fall YoY. On a cumulative basis; Turk Traktor exported 4,952 tractors in 5M17, down by 16% YoY.
