(-) Builder Confederation to call knock off work if the rebar prices are not down / Potentially Negative for Kardemir Reportedly, the President of Builders Confederation said that if the rebar prices are not downwardly adjusted, they will call upon the sector players to knock off work. Also note that Ministry of Economy had also stated that they will take precautions today to increase the domestic supply and limit the prices increases. We deem the news to be negative for Kardemir as the company is enjoying from high rebar prices.

- Recall that increasing steel demand in China in 1Q17 led to supply decrease in the international market as Chinese producers met the domestic demand which also supported the domestic rebar prices also.

- Reportedly, the domestic rebar prices have increased by 28% in the last 3 months.
